Fishing in Georgian Bay

There are several locations on Georgian Bay and the Beaver River which are famous for fishing. Please contact the Tyrolean office for directions to these areas and local bait shops.


Kayak to the Collingwood Lighthouse

A one-hour kayak (one way) ride to the historic lighthouse. The lighthouse, constructed in 1855-59, is one of the most historic structures on the Great Lakes. Visible from the shores of Collingwood, the island itself is called Nottawasaga Island. Locals call it Clark's Island or even Lighthouse Island.


The Nottawasaga Canoe Route

12,000 years ago the Nottawasaga area was part of the bottom of post-glacial Lake Algonquin. launch your canoe or kayak at Edenvale (off Hwy #26)and navigate 23.5 km of river through to Wasaga Beach.


Canoe the Beaver River

The fast flowing Beaver River was named by the Huron people for the many beaver along its banks. A great canoe route begins at Kimberley, from the Beaver River Access Point located off Grey Road 13. You can park and launch there or arrange the canoe delivered.
