One road, door to door

The most direct big-group run in the GTA

From Brampton, Airport Road heads north from the city and carries you basically door to door to Blue Mountain in just under two hours — one road nearly the whole way. At the other end sit twelve family-run chalets at the base of Ontario's largest ski resort, walking distance to Blue Mountain Village with its 25-plus restaurants, shops and bars, and about five minutes by car from a private sandy Georgian Bay beach reserved for Tyrolean guests. For a big group, the simple drive is half the reason the weekend actually happens.

Bring the whole crew

Built for Brampton-sized celebrations

Milestone birthdays, family reunions, a friend crew the size of a cricket team — if your group runs big, this is the weekend built for it. Our chalets sleep groups across 4 to 8 bedrooms, and the 8-Bedroom Stand-Alone Chalet (54) gives a big celebration its own roof, its own hot tub and its own sauna. Every chalet has a dining table big enough that the whole group actually sits down together — which is usually the point of the trip.

One kitchen feeds everyone

Cook for the whole group instead of eating out

Feeding a big group starts with a real kitchen, and every chalet here has one — a full kitchen, not a kitchenette — plus a BBQ outside. Bring your groceries up from Brampton and cook the food your crew actually wants, on your own schedule, around one long table. And on the night you do want to go out, Blue Mountain Village and its 25-plus restaurants, shops and bars are within walking distance.

Ping-pong in the games room, hot tub outside

This is where a group weekend earns its keep. Several chalets have games rooms with ping-pong tables — the 6-bedroom cottages 52R and 53L among them — most have a private hot tub, and several add a sauna. With fireplaces too, wood-burning in some, nobody needs to book anything or drive anywhere; the evening's entertainment is under your own roof.

The same easy drive, four different seasons

That straight run up Airport Road pays off year-round. Winter puts you minutes from the lifts at Ontario's largest ski resort; summer means our private sandy beach on Georgian Bay, reserved for Tyrolean guests, about a five-minute drive from your chalet — plus golf, hiking on the escarpment and cycling the Georgian Trail. In fall, the escarpment colours make the drive up half the show.

Questions, answered

How long is the drive from Brampton to Blue Mountain?

Just under two hours, and it is the most direct run from anywhere in the GTA. Airport Road heads north from Brampton and takes you basically door to door — no crosstown highway leg to fight through first. It is an easy enough run that a weekend trip does not have to start with half a day of driving.

How large a group can one chalet sleep?

Our twelve chalets range from 4 to 8 bedrooms, and the 8-Bedroom Stand-Alone Chalet (54) adds its own hot tub and sauna. Each chalet's page on our website shows live availability, so you can see exactly what is free for your dates — and if your celebration outgrows one roof, call us and we can help you plan around a second chalet.

Can we cook for the whole group at the chalet?

Yes. Every chalet has a full kitchen and a BBQ, along with a dining table big enough to seat the whole group at once. Bring your groceries up with you and cook on your own schedule; when you want a night off, Blue Mountain Village and its 25-plus restaurants are within walking distance.

What is included with a Tyrolean chalet?

Full kitchens, fireplaces (wood-burning in some), BBQs and big dining tables run throughout our chalets. Most have private hot tubs, several have saunas, and several have games rooms with ping-pong tables. Every stay also includes access to our private sandy beach on Georgian Bay, reserved for Tyrolean guests, about a five-minute drive away.

How do I book, and are there platform fees?

You book directly on our website, where each chalet shows its own live availability, or you can call us at (416) 213-7437. Booking direct means no platform service fees — you are dealing straight with the family that has run Tyrolean since 1964. If you are not sure which chalet suits your group, call and we will talk it through.
