Where can a family reunion stay together at Blue Mountain?
For a family reunion at Blue Mountain, chalet #54 sleeps 20 under one roof with 8 bedrooms, a hot tub and a sauna, and our two 4-bedroom cottages FO1 and FO2 share one duplex and sleep 20 together. Bigger families take our three side-by-side luxury chalets, which sleep 42. All of them are a short walk from the ski hills and Blue Mountain Village, dogs are welcome in the Swiss-style chalets, and in summer the whole family gets our private beach on Georgian Bay.

Room for every age
On site there’s a small playground, volleyball and soccer fields and a baseball diamond, all for Tyrolean guests, and the municipal tennis and basketball courts are a 5 to 10 minute walk. In summer the family gets our private beach on Georgian Bay, a sandy stretch about 5 minutes’ drive from the chalets and reserved for our guests. In winter, the ski hills are a 7 to 10 minute walk, with tubing, skating and snowshoeing nearby for the non-skiers. Blue Mountain Village is 10 to 20 minutes on foot for a dinner out with 25-plus restaurants. Feeding a crowd
Every chalet has a fully equipped kitchen and a dining area sized for the house, so potluck dinners and big breakfasts are easy. Fridges are standard size, so bring a cooler or two for a group of 20. BBQs are on the decks from spring to fall, and the luxury chalets have them all year. If nobody wants to cook, we can point you to private chefs and caterers who come to the chalet.
Booking a reunion
Families with children are welcome regardless of the 25-and-over rule that applies to other groups. A booking takes a 40% deposit with the balance due 30 days before arrival, and each chalet has a $1,500 security deposit hold at check-in. The minimum stay is 2 nights, or 3 over holidays and long weekends. Costs split well: a weekend night in #54 at about $1,600 comes to about $80 per person for 20, with the kitchen, hot tub and sauna included. Prices for every chalet are on our cost page.

Which chalet is best for grandparents?
The luxury chalets: most bedrooms have a private bathroom, and bed linens and towels are provided. Chalet #54 is on three levels, so it suits families who don’t mind stairs.
Can we bring the family dog?
Yes, to chalet #54, the FO1 and FO2 cottages and the B1 apartment, with no pet fee. The luxury chalets are pet-free.
Is the beach really private?
Yes. It’s on Georgian Bay, about a 5-minute drive from the chalets, and reserved for Tyrolean guests.
Can the kids use the hot tub?
Chalet #54 and the three luxury chalets have private hot tubs, open from 7 AM to 11 PM under the town bylaw. Children use them with adult supervision.
